Six surfers, seven nights, and no fixed plan beyond finding the wave. We follow the swell south from Mirleft into the Sahara — Tan-Tan, Tarfaya and Laâyoune, chasing the kind of world-class points and empty line-ups that keep this stretch of coast a bit of a secret.

This week is hosted by Niccolò and Abdelilah. The two met six years ago in the line-up in Morocco, and have been close friends ever since. Abdelilah will lead as Niyar's founder and head guide, twelve years deep in this coastline. Niccolò surfing alongside the the group. Along the way, a local surf guide from Tan-Tan joins in too, pointing us toward spots that don't show up on the map.
He learned to surf at 12 on a old surfboard. When he found the coast of Mirleft, he stayed. He reads waves before he reads instruction manuals — and still gets the most enjoyment out of watching someone catch their first wave.
